Bernadette Coggins

Bernadette Coggins has lived in the Tempe, AZ community she serves for more than 30 years. She gained a reputation as an advocate for children and those in need, and used her background in education to help in the passage of state legislation and grant funding for some key dyslexia programs.

Today her passion for kids has brought her into a powerful new role as the program director for the Tempe (AZ) Coalition, developed to reduce underage drinking and drug use. Their initiatives include 21 or Too Young, Support Your Kids’ Interests, Social Host Ordinance, and Opioid Resources.
