Nicolee Thompson

Nicolee Thompson’s life was full of excitement and promise. She graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor’s in teaching and a masters in liberal arts English. Her love of sports, including volleyball, led her to be a college coach.

Then her family was rocked by the loss of her brother Mitchell in a drowning accident. Their response was to form Mitchell Swaback Charities (MSC), and seven years later when recession threatened American families, they opened Harvest Compassion Centers (HCC) with the mission to serve neighbors with life’s necessities – food, hygiene products, baby and clothing items. Today, MSC operates three HCC locations and a sister HCC in Chandler.

Learn how one family turned tragedy into hope for underserved families in the Phoenix area.
